    Character Creation and Background:

    Create a Character:

Any species that was known during the republic is available for use, as long as they have the ability to be Jedi and use the force.

Ages of characters should be child. For example a human would be around 10-12 years old at the max. (When creating your character you should refer to pg.110 of the C.R.B and use table 7-2 for aging effects.) This is a campaign that deals with younlings that are coming up through the Jedi Academy. The many missions will not be successive back to back but will take place over several years. A mission may happen right after the previous mission or it may be several months later.

All characters are force sensitive in this campaign and should take the relative skill.

Ability Scores: We are not going to roll ability scores for this campaign. (Refer to pg.18 in the C.R.B "Planned Generation" method. All scores start at 8 and you have a total of 25 points. Below are the scores with their associated point costs.

    Planned Generation scale:

    Score: Cost:
    8 - 0
    9 - 1
    10 - 2
    11 - 3
    12 - 4
    13 - 5
    14 - 6
    15 - 8
    16 - 10
    17 - 13
    18 - 16
    19 - 20
    20 - 25

Again you can only use 25 "score" points. If you start out with less point than 8 (when including species modifiers) just count the number of steps down the chart.

For example: if your strength was a 7 and you wanted to make it an 11 it would cost you 4 points instead of the listed 3 points.

Remember to place all of your stats on your character sheet here provided for you in your profile. This could be a bit confusing so If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Thanks you.

    More points for character creation:

As a child you would have no experience with things like weapons or combat. Taking such feats at this point is not allowed.

    Skills to choose from:

    Acrobatics
    Climb
    Endurance
    Initiative
    Jump
    Perception
    Ride
    Swim

These are ones you as a youngling would know about. Choose 2 plus your INT modifier.

You may NOT choose Use the Force as a trained skill. While you are force sensitive, your talent is still raw, and improving your skill with using the force will be part of your training at the temple.

    Feats to choose from:

    Force Sensitivity

This is the only feat you receive at the beginning of the game. You are to young to know any other feats.

I know that this seems like you will have a character with no benefits but if you give it some time you will see that you will build your character through your experiences.

Gaining XP, Levels and character related bonuses:

You will gain XP the same as always but that will not be your only benefits.

While you are being trained at either the Academy or by your master there will be times you can choose what you wish to learn.

For instance if you are in Lightsaber training you can mention that you want to learn a particular lightsaber style. (refer to the C.R.B or the J.A.B for the different styles) or a particular lightsaber talent.

You must meet the requirements for anything you wish to learn.

I will set certain DC's for each course and the training will begin. The further you are away from actually being able to accomplish what you try to learn, the higher the DC will be. Once the course is complete I'll let you know whether you passed or failed. You are able to try as many times as wish as long as you have force points available.

Every time you attempt to acquire a new teaching you use a force point. So if you use all of your force points you are unable to to acquire more teachings until you regain a force point.

You might notice that next to every post there is a counter telling you how many posts and points you have.

Posts: For every 30 posts you are able to make one attempt to learn a new feat/force feat or talent through your master. If you fail you do not learn the new feat/force feat/talent and you have to wait till your next 30 posts.

Points: For every 50 points you recieve one hundred XP x your level. This is designed to help you advance faster at a quicker rate during low levels.

(mass posting just to advance will disqualify you)

    Aging:

Between 0-5000 XP you gain a year for every thousand. So by the time you get 5000 xp you should be 15 years old. (or equivalent according to race)

Once you hit Five thousand you no longer gain a year per thousand XP. At that point you start gaining one year per every four thousand XP. So that means you wouldn't turn 16 till you have Nine Thousand XP. Then you would turn 17 at Thirteen thousand XP and so on.

I'm changing what I said earlier in this thread, all players must start out as ten year old's (or equivalent based on their race.) If your race ages at a different pace (like wookies) take that into consideration when doing the aging per thousand.

every time you post or create a thread you get points.

It's kinda the same thing as posting, but you get 1 point per post and 3 points per thread started. Thats why I want everyone to create their own threads for their characters.

This is a step by step process on how to create you character. Refer to the thread titled: "character creation" for explanations of actions to take. In fact you should read that one first so that you will know how to do certain things.

    Steps:

    1. Choose a species - Refer to any book to find your species. If you do not have the books, you can download them from btjunkie.com. All you need is a torrent down loader and type in "Star wars saga books" choose one that has all the books and plenty of seeders. If you do not have the books, this will be very helpful for you. They are in .pdf format. When choosing your species make sure that they are able to use the force. (not all species are able to use the force) This is a Jedi mission campaign.

    2. Create your ability scores - use the planned generation method mentioned on page 18 in the C.R.B. When creating your ability scores, take into account that you are 10 years old and take certain negatives for being so young. Refer to page 110 of the C.R.B

    3. Class bonuses - Your class is "Jedi" refer to the C.R.B under classes and apply all bonuses and penalties for being Jedi. Skills/ defenses/ feats / talents (The only starting feat you should get is: Force sensitivity This dos not include species bonus feats.)

    4. Remove weapons proficiencies - you are a youngling that has no experience with weapons yet, you will learn these skills/feats/talents as your character progresses through their lessons. Do not take ANY weapons proficiencies!

    5. Refer to the character creation thread - This thread tells you what to take, when to take it and how to do so. This thread has all the info you need to create your character successfully. If you have a question that is not covered there, just post it and I'll be glad to answer it. Likely others have the same issue and this may help them out as well.

    6. Character sheet - once you have created your character, you need to post him/her in your character sheet. This is where your character will be located, I will update your xp when you accomplish a task. You will also use this location to keep track of your characters progress. There is area's there to list your personality and background. I will also make a space for you to keep track of exploits and memorable achievements throughout your characters career.

Your character sheet is located in your profile page. Click on the tap named "Character sheet" and start filling out the form below. After filling it out, make sure to save it. Once saved you'll be able to look back at it and see your characters attributes and stats.

A small Character sheet will appear under your name when you make a post. This will have your current XP, HP and name. After each action you must update your character sheet where needed. If you you leveled up/ lost or gained HP or any other action you must make the adjustments. Only XP will be changed by the GM. All other adjustments are the players responsibilities.

    7. Starting - After creating your character and posting it on your character sheet you must report to the "Padawan" thread in the "Jedi Temple" There you will start a thread with your name in the title. You will state that you are ready to start your missions. At that point I will start your first campaign.

If you have any questions or feel that this can be a little clearer please post a recommendation here.

Thanks so much, I hope you enjoy.
